A Brazilian social network, made by Brazilians
We, the creators of Rellou, have always wanted to build a Brazilian social network, with our own Brazilian way of connecting. It was about time Brazil and the world got to know a social network made by Brazilians.
After the 2026 elections, it became even clearer to us that social networks from other countries do not always respect Brazil’s sovereignty, and this happens all over the world.
We believe a social network is meant to bring people together and cross borders, not to manipulate anyone. Making money is part of the process, but the purpose is something else: connecting people.
We want a network where you choose what you see, know what is done with your data and have someone to turn to when something goes wrong. No fine print.
Why a three-banded armadillo?
The three-banded armadillo (“tatu-bola”) is a Brazilian animal, friendly and full of personality. When it needs to, it rolls into a ball and stays protected.
That is how we want you to feel on Rellou: in a safe, welcoming place with our own style. That is why it is our logo and our mascot.

Yes. Creating an account and using the feed, Reels, Stories, chat and audio rooms is free.
Where can I download it?
The app is being released on the stores. As soon as it is available, the download buttons on this page will take you straight to the store.
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age is set in the Terms of Use, in line with Brazilian law.
How do safety and moderation work?
You can report, block and mute. Content goes through moderation and follows the Community Guidelines.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app itself, at any time. We also handle data subject requests (LGPD) through the form in Privacy or by email.
